After returning as a Korean war veteran, Louis Riccio became a top pictorial artist with Omelia Co., specializing in large scale billboard art. He continued on with his art career while studying at the Newark School Of Fine & Industrial Arts, under the tutelage of notable artist John Grabach.
Lou moved to the shore area after 20 years as a billboard artist to pursue his career as a painter so as to compete in many local and national jury exhibits.
Over the last 15 years, Lou has participated and garnered recognition in the N.J. State Seniors competition as well as the NJ chapter of the American Artists Professional League.
Riccio is also an award winning signature member of the Audubon Artists and Allied Artists of America, both national art societies located in NYC. In 2014, Lou was recognized with a lifetime achievement award as Ocean County “Man of the Year”.
