After many years of working in the corporate world, Kate Donnelly needed a more personal form of self-expression. A dear friend and mentor encouraged her art career for years, and after retiring from corporate life, she began to paint full time. Six months later, her friend passed. The artist states, “My greatest thrill was to be able to show him my early works... Today, he is still with me in the palette knives and brushes of his that I use and cherish. He encourages me every step of the way.” Kate has studied with many prominent teachers and artists in New Jersey and Nashville, TN. She is a charter member of “The Chestnut Group, Plein Air Painters For The Land” in Nashville.
