Dennis Millar

Dennis Millar is located in Fox Chase, Philadelphia. He has earned awards for his work from the Philadelphia Water Color Society, the Cheltenham Center for the Arts, and the Pine Shores Art Association. One of his oil paint over alcohol ink paintings appeared on the cover of the March 2016 edition of Portfolio – the newsletter of The Philadelphia Sketch Club.
His art education includes studies at The Samuel S. Fleisher Art Memorial, Philadelphia College of Art and Tyler School of Art. He began his art career in 2004, as an oil painter focusing mostly on seascapes and house portraits. He then progressed to gouache watercolor and alcohol ink media. He presently volunteers as webmaster for Pine Shores Art’s website.
Dennis had been a project manager with a global pharmaceutical company based in Philadelphia. This company filed an intellectual-property copyright for a product market-launch project plan that Dennis developed. Prior to this, he was art layout/print manager for ‘Consultant’, a medical journal.
He and his wife, Joyce, have 3 children and 4 grandchildren, and reside in suburban Philadelphia. He enjoys photography, woodworking, and traveling with his family.
