Christine Calandra is a self-taught watercolor artist and has been painting and drawing since childhood, receiving her first award at age fourteen. She continued her creative journey and found watercolor to be the most exciting and spontaneous of mediums. Her love of the Jersey Shore and its beauty is reflected in her work. Selling her work through galleries and outdoor shows made her work popular with lovers of the shore. Christine has taught watercolor painting and coordinated workshops for budding artists for over thirty years, and these experiences have enhanced her life as an artist. She has participated in numerous juried art shows and has received many awards. She is an elected member of the New Jersey Watercolor Society, and her work has been featured in various publications.
